Sister Nuala Mulleady is a native of County Roscommon, Ireland. She is a Missionary Franciscan Sister who did her studies and novitiate training in Rome, Italy. After her first profession, she came to the United States where she ministered as an elementary school teacher and principal in several dioceses. Sr. Nuala later served as Provincial Minister of the Missionary Franciscan Sisters in the U.S., Peru and Bolivia. Her missionary call has taken her to many countries around the world. She comes to Valdosta as our Director of Social Services. She plans to work with other organizations and churches in the area to administer help and encouragement to the needy. Sr. Nuala enjoys reading, music, walking and cooking.
Sister Rebecca Campbell, Sister Therese Galarneau, Sister Pauline Oetgen,and Sister Justine Ostini assist us in many ways, including the school and home visitations. Sister Therese Galarneau is a childhood friend of Sister Justine. She is a member of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ. She currently serves as Assistant Principal of the school. The Sisters have served St. John’s since the opening of the school in 1941.
